I just spent a good part of the day at the hospital. It’s not dire. I had to get in to see an ER doc to rule out pneumonia. Both my wife and I are sick with different things, but we are confident all will be well. No pneumonia!
Happy New Year
As I wrap up the final edits on Vengeance Is Hers, I’ll also dig deeper into the design and marketing stuff (among many, many other things). I don’t plan to post here again until January 14, 2025, and I won’t be available until then.
First goal: Get over this virus. I tested negative for C-19, and I’m picking up a couple of prescriptions in the morning for this cough.
Second goal: Spend fun time with the family and help out She Who Must Be Obeyed.
Third: Final edits and locking in the manuscript.
Until then, friends and fiends, be as healthy and as happy as nature and the laws allow. Or don’t get caught.
Vengeance is coming in 2025!

Hope you find out what is making you sick and get over it as quickly as possible – sorry this is hitting you and your wife.
We DID catch C-19 – it was pretty miserable, and we lost many days of functionality. Had managed to avoid it since it started (by masking, isolating, avoiding groups) – and felt we were still doing a good job, but it found a way in (no fair – husband picked it up AT the hospital while doing CARDIAC REHAB (as far as we can tell). Sheesh! You\’d think they\’d manage to clean their machines better!
And after the infection is over? Baby yourselves. Do not push to catch up and do everything at once. Do not try to exercise yourself into wellness – not letting yourself heal properly can hit you with a post-viral illness like Long Covid or ME/CFS or post-Polio Syndrome – and linger for decades or the rest of your life. Be kind and gentle to yourselves.
