Tools of the Trade: Things go awry

The podcast name has changed from Self-help for Stoners to All That Chazz. All will be explained. Meanwhile, assassins wait for Jesus in Tools of the Trade. Jesus has to get into a locked apartment and the tension stretches out to comedy because, as usual, things go awry for our favorite Cuban hit man.

For regular listeners to the program: This week’s podcast is a little different. I lifted a chapter from one of my works in progress for your listening pleasure. There are hints and shades of Stephen King, I suppose. This is kind of a bridge chapter in a gathering mystery from the first of my Poeticule Bay Series of novels. I chose it because, though it’s part of a much larger story in which Connie Whedon plays a small part, it can stand on its own and I like the building tension in it. I hope you do, too.

Hurray! I have an author profile on Goodreads!

Wow. This is cool. Goodreads is a great site for readers to find books they’ll enjoy. (And, I hope, my books are in the To Enjoy list.)

I was slow to get on board but now I love it.

Find books you’ve read, books you want to read, rate books and write reviews. I found it especially fun to zip through and rate some of the books in my library, just to revisit what my brain had already eaten.
